Hi all

I am due my first graded inspection in Oct and im getting nervous already :panic:

I just wondered if anybody has any sort of list of what inspectors want evidence of or what courses we are to have completed (only done the ICP so far)

I would really appreciate any particulars. Feel like my head is going to pop at the mo with difficult parents, my 2 driving me loopy and trying to sort everything for inspection with no idea what I need

My goodness am I having a drink at the weekend haha xx

Try this document from Ofsted

http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/resources/using-early-years-evaluation-schedule-guidance-for-inspectors-of-registered-early-years-settings-req

It tells you what inspectors have to look for and indicators for outstanding, good and so on

Have you got a copy of "Are you ready for your inspection?" and "A passion to be outstanding" both have tips on how to evidence what you do. There are copies of each in free resources (free downloads) at the top of the forum

Meet the requirements - go through them and make sure you have evidence for each one.

Good luck! :D

Thanks guys, im about to submit my sef but after reading some posts on here about picky inspectors i feel sick already. I know my paperwork is ok, but im worried im not following eyfs correctly. I have the los lj's but when I do the next steps in there we dont always do it following the ob im writing. We go off in different directions all the time, is this wrong?

Thanks for your help, your all FAB

If you are following the children's interests and making sure you are covering all areas of the eyfs then I don't think you are doing anything wrong.

I don't always follow up next steps immediately - and sometimes they do get missed , so now I go back and add a date on to the original ob to show when the next step has been done, that way it's easy to check through the lj and see if I've missed any.
