Give Ofsted a ring tomorrow and see if they need to visit... he's already got a CRB so that's a start...

They'll tell you the process, but it's not complicated!

He will need to fill in a CM2 form. When my Mum registered as an assistant I didn't have to have a visit from Ofsted but it may have changed. I seem to recall that they e-mailed me the CM2 and I just printed it off for my Mum to fill in.

It was less than a week before we got a phone call from the regional office, the whole thing was sorted in about 3-4 weeks.:)
