I have all my paperwork sorted, all filed correctly and easy to use. I'm currently doing my SEF and also my FCCERS. I'm creating individual display board in my childminding room for each child (I only have one mindee at the moment)

My mindee is 8 months old so no craft things much as of yet, so I've put up some photos of him, his family, pets, holidays etc. :)

Just got some mirrors to stick on my wall, some more child friendly APPROPRIATE posters, got some diversity posters as well. I also managed to pick up some african musical instruments from a car boot for £1! Well impressed. Got some books in different languages as well. Safety film on my windows

Then I came across a bit of an issue, the mindee I have is pulling himself up on everything and he falls over quite a bit. So I do tend to follow him around to make sure there's something soft behind him, aslong as he lands on something soft I tend to let him fall so he can learn to balance himself. Then I notice just how much I wash my hands, and even a quick wash I have to put him in his travel cot just in case.

What if I buy hand gel and leave it in the front room, could I just squirt my hands every now and again would that suffice to Ofsted?

My 16 month old daughter and my mindee both have their individual flannels with their names on that I use to wash their hands and I keep them in the front room, would this be okay too or do they have to be kept in the bathroom?

The most important thing with the inspection is that you keep the children as closely as possible to their routines so they are not confused.

If you normally pop the lo in a playpen then it should be fine as he is used to it.

Good luck! Don't forget to let us know how you get on :D
