Hi! I had my inspetion on the Monday and they rang me on the Wednesday morning and emailed it to me that afternoon.

I think it depends on how quickly they type it up - my inspector told me she was going home to do it the that afternoon. HTH xxx

Mine appeared online before I received a paper copy, just over 2 weeks online over three in post.

I had my inspection on Tuesday and they emailed it over on Wednesday at 12.30. I was a bit shocked that it was so quick and the email said it will be on the Ofsted website in a couple of weeks

Here goes....

The inspector has to submit the report within 24hrs to her line manager for quality checking, it is then passed to the company for spelling and grammar check and then sent to you.

Both Prospects and Tribal have 10 from the inspection to submit it to Ofsted to publish.

Both companies have to ring you and ask if you want the report emailed or posted and you have 24hrs to reply with any changes you want made to factual inacccuracies, typos, spelling mistakes etc with in that tn days. They should not submit the report to Ofsted until you have has your 24hrs to respond to them.

How am I so sure of this you ask? I had my inspection on 1st Sept. It took my inspector a week to submit her report and the company were very near missing their deadline and would have done if I had asked to have my copy posted. I was kind and had it emailed. I had to return it twice to get all the mistakes corrected and had already got them to agree to give me 48hrs to examine my report.

We should all do this, 24hrs is far to short and if you don't get back to them they will publish the report. We all have lives. My report was emailed at 5.15pm I didn't get to the computer until after work at about 7pm but what if I had been training for the evening come home gone to bed and had a busy day working and easily missed the 5.15pm deadline for reurn of the report. Never mind if I had been ill or on holiday.

They have to realise we are our own adminstrators, we don't have secretaries, or managers who do all our paperwork.

I might add, today I submitted a 5 page detailed Official Complaint to Ofsted about my whole Inspection Process. I am becoming very familar with all the procedures as they should be and I must say I have had my eyes opened and I thought I was quite well informed. Anyhow that is another thread on another day!

You could have complained about that they have to give you a chance to correct any factual mistakes on your report and they are not supposed to submit to Ofsted for publication until you have done that.

Hope all goes well with your complaint, I made one four years ago 4 pages of A4.
A letter in the post followed by 4 lengthy telephone calls with 4 different people and only 1 complaint was upheld.
It was an exhausting process and at times I wish I had never started it.
In the end it came down to her word against mine and they believed her.
In the mean time the report with incorrect information was still online and they refused to remove it until the process had been completed.
I was dreading my last inspection but she could not have been nicer it was a very positive experience.
Hope your process is less painful :)

See my other comment about complaining :( , to be honest I was just relieved it was all over and just left it as it was :)

If they send it to you by post and you return it the same way they will not have your reply within 24hours anyway.

I was very lucky to have a lovely inspector and she has given me a fantastic report, no negative comments at all so I am happy.
