Hi
Ive got my 6 month inspection on Friday
Im ok with the areas of learning, planning and next steps
but do I need to know the themes and principles by heart
I can explain what they all mean and how to ensure I deliver them but my memory is really bad so is it acceptable to have it in front of me to prompt me
Thankyou

No you don't need to know them by heart but you do need to understand how they impact on your working life.
For example, you promote healthy living, eating, drinking, cleaning hands etc.
You keep children safe by...
The most important thing for your inspection is to know your safeguarding - re-check your policy and procedure against the Eyfs and make sure it is in place.
Hth :D

Thankyou
I think what Im worried about is although Im sure I do everything that I sould be doing and I have a good understanding of EYFS and how to implement and document it , when Im asked a question I go blank
for example if they say to me
Tell me how you safeguard children .....I know for a fact my mind will just freeze , whereas if im asked more specific questions im fine
just concerned ill be a rabbit in headlights which is not like me because normally im confident and chatty :(
