Hi All,
had my inspection on tuesday. Been meaning to come on here and post since then but as always time has run away with me.
She turned up 30mins late, said on phone that if she was coming she would be here by 9:45 so at 10:15 when there was a knock on the door I was shocked. I asked her to sign the visitors log then I had a 30min interrogation about safeguarding before the little ones woke up. To cut a long story short (she was here for 4 hours, one of her longest inspections!!) We did snack and then she observed us playing. Then we had lunch, nappy change, nap time and an opportunity for further questions and then feedback.
My overall grade was good with outstanding for working in partnership with parents and encouraging children to adopt healthy lifestyles. She said I wash my hands constantly (I am slightly obsessive about it!) and she liked the fact that even though the little ones are only 15 months I encourage them to wash their hands. (I give them a wetwipe each to have a go and then wipe them over myself. Also after nappy change both of them like to come and watch me wash my hands). I think my partnership with parents is aided by the online system that I use and a feedback comment from one parent who travels overseas and said that the online system allows him to read a diary and see pics every day no matter where in the world he was - so think that clinched it for me!
Overall very pleased, but I did put in alot of effort. Over 10 hrs on the SEF and still didnt finish it (thanks Sarah, my other half purchased your ebook for me and that was fantastic - not sure how I would have even started it without your help)
Good luck to everyone who has theirs coming up and thanks to the forum as I have gained so much from reading posts and getting tips on how to deal with situations.
