I go through phases where I think I haven't got enough, so I get more, then I think I've got too many so I get rid of some!
I do use a toy library aswell and we go to groups so they get plenty of variation.
Just wondering how many toys you all have and WHAT toys you have.

I need a magic fairy to come and slim mine down. I managed to empty the loft into the tip a couple of months ago, just need to set about the conservatory now.
It would be easier to say what I've not got than list everything.

i too, have a DH who says i have far too many toys
when we moved and put stuff into storage, i bought the bare minumum of things with me ... one small box each of duplo, cars, trains & track, little people+little stable&summerhouse, instruments, puzzles, play food, baby toys and craft stuff/ then a pile of games & some books. oh and a few baby dolls. i have then ended up buying other bits i wanted from charity shops/ebay etc!
he thinks that as i have managed for the past 5 months, i don't need the rest of my toys  but i DO, i have hardly been working, and so have managed!
but next week all our stuff arrives from storage and i can't wait to have all my toys back! i'm always seeing new things i want, but actually, having looked through the new elc catalogue/argos etc, for once, there isn't very much, and thati do like would be just to replace worn out toys !!! ;)

I find being a CM that it's an excuse for never throwing away your own children's toys. When my kids outgrow stuff I don't think about getting rid I think 'Ooh mindee x will enjoy that' :D DH despairs of me lol

I buy things all the time saying to dh "but 6 children will play with it (not just dd) so it is value for money" ;)

I buy more toys now that my children have grown up, because more children play with them and I can justify it. quite often one of my own will say "you wouldn't have bought that for me when I was little" and its true
After all, I would rather spend money on toys than give the money to the tax man :D
