Hello everyone this is my first post. I have just received my Registration Certificate and am nearly ready to go! :clapping:

I have a tricky situation with my first mindee regarding the hours mum works. Basically it is for 2 days a week 9 - 5.30 but sometimes her shifts change times and she may start work later, as in 12 o oclock therefore wants me to have child from that time.

There doesn't seem to be any rota system it's just as and when, I don't want to seem awkward about this with her but then again I can't afford not to have a morning filled.

If anyone has advice I would be grateful, as I don't want to set out the contract and come a cropper a few weeks down the line.

As it's not alot of hours how about having a contract for the longer times twice a week and she'll pay you that inadvance (if you charge this way)
and then if she does a 12 start give her a 3hr free next week?

You'd be within your rights to charge the the long shift both days whether there or not, as she may decide one day to send him early for 3 hrs peace at home.
Best to try and get maximum wages in your pocket than letting her pay lower rate and trying to get the money you get underpaid by?
Someone may have a way better idea though!
