I have recently agreed to do a regular sleep over for the child of a client doing night shift care work in a resid home. I know this is minimum wage and was worried about how she'd pay the £40 for me to have her lo and how she could possibly survive on that. I was told about tax credit which pays a percentage of child care. Could anyone tell me what percentage it is? Not getting anywhere with google!

there is no set percentage as it is personal to the family...they will pay UP to 70% but it will depend on the family circumstances etc.....you need the parent to contact tax credits direct..
