i have my pre-reg visit on 17th and have my policies and proceudres all printed, a risk assesment of each room and local park printed, i have jotted down ideas about what activites i can do for each area of learning - and i am going through the welfare requirements.

but my main question is do i need to know everything off by heart? i have a little girl and just can't find the time to memorise the EYFS?!?!

i just need some hints on how much i need to learn and know or whether i can sit there with my notes in front of me and refer to them?

many thanks!

You need to have a good look through the 'preparing for your registration visit' booklet and understand how to answer the questions.

This is the booklet the inspector will use to check your understanding of the requirements.

Good luck! :D

hi

Dont panic :), just fill in the booklet as above and you can read from it if you need, i was just asked to name the 6 areas od learning and development but i couldnt remember a thing so she told me and laughed. now ive been doing it 7mths i could tell you them no problems. She didnt even ask to see risk assessments or policies as you dont need them done for the pre reg inspection. She is there to help you, give advise and have a look at your house. Honestly its not as bad as you expect.

best of luck hun. xx
