Hi!

I have called Ofsted this morning to enquire about applying for a variation. They are sending me the form through email but she said it needs to be very thorough and detailed, and as I am new, it's kind of scared me!

What I am asking for is for 1 hour on a Friday morning between 8am and 9am I have 3 under 5 rather than 2 under 5 so that I can take a mind to pre-school.

What do you think I need to make sure I put on the form to really persuade them to do it for me? This variation means I either get the contract with mum or not so a lot riding on it!

Thanks xxx

Hi :),
They are very keen on continuity of care when granting variations, so if there's any way you can work things so that the variation would enable a mindee to continue who otherwise couldn't (or a mindee's sibling or returner) that would help alot.

Apart from that, think about all the practicalities: what would potentially be the difficulties and how would you deal with them; what equipment do you have, how will you manage the journey etc....

Hope you get it :)

best wishes,
Wendy :)
