My top tips are
- do you SEF
- Know signs of abuse
- Know what to do if you suspect abuse
- Be brave to argue points, I think I argued myself out of getting a satisfactory today as I said I used common sense when she said I did not have written down who had legal guardianship if the children.
- Get all your paperwork clearly labelled
- Talk to the children all the time as even if she is in the other room she can hear and makes notes on everything. (obvious really)
- Have your back door open so they can free flow through the house.
- State the obvious

Top tips from me:

make sure parents have signed to say WHO has parental responsibility.

complete SEF ( not a requirement, but it does help)

make sure all paperwork up to date and correct

make sure your everyday practice is inclusive and covers diversity ( disabilities/ culture/ race etc)

have a fire drill log

have a complaints folder with blank forms for complaints if ever parents need one and for any correspondence with ofsted if the need arises.

thats all I can think of from my experiences today.

I hope that helps with ayone waiting for their inspection
