My car insurance is due for renewal shortly, I had to pay a fortune to change to business insurance for a few months.
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations or knows of any insurance that does not charge extra for childminders?
Thought it might help before I begin ringing around.
Thanks
Maureen

Can't help you at the moment Maureen.
But I will be looking as well in a couple of months as I am thinking about moving mine.
Would be interested in what one you go for in the end so that I can also get a quote from them too
I'm with Direct Line and they didn't charge any extra for business use.

I just changed both cars to Morton Michel... very competitive and when I told them I had a better quote from elsewhere, they beat it for me :D

I went with Motorminder in the end. What I found when ringing round was i could get better quotes with business insurance included but when I questioned them further they wouldn't cover my particular business. I would always get it confirmed in writing that they cover your work as a childminder

I'm with Sheilas Wheels and I checked and doubled checked that the buisness insurance covered me as a childminder.
