Hi there jut needing a little help and advice.
I have been registered for 1 year now and still havnt completed my icp or the understanding how to set up a homebased childcare service course yet!
My local council give you 6mnths after registering to complete .Unfortunatly when i registered they were changing it over from the icp and there were no courses after june last year available! I finally got conformation from the local council that they have now gone live in the directory for september so straight away got booked on the first available one.
I havnt been minding as it has been so quiet so they deferred my inspection anyway. I now have had loads of enquiries and one wanting to start in july. So now i will have to inform ofsted that i am minding a child in the early years group so they will probably come straight out and inspect me before i start the course.
I have rang ofsted and they say just keep any evidence of corrispondance between me and the local council and show that you are booked on course for september. I am still really worried i am going to get a real down grade because of this. I dont want to let this parent down ( and i really need it too little girl lovely). Just wounded if anybody else this had happend too i have worked really hard setting up my business and do hold my level 4 and doing my foundation degree too so have worked hard do you think this will count ? cant stop worrying about it.
sorry a long one x

The best thing you can do I think is to ring Ofsted, let them know your plans and the dates of the course and see what they say.

I am sure it will be fine :D
