Okies had my pre-reg visit, and explained to Mrs O that My nan lives next door in the annex, that there is a conjoining door, but is bolted on her side and mine, and was put there for planning purposes only x

"fine not a problem, wont need to worry about it or go in there"

coolies, sigh of relief x

Now get a phone call from Ofsted this PM, saying that my Nan needs a CRB, and that they should have inspected her bit, I said why? when it has no bearing on my minding (explained that we pay two council tax bands, A for the Annex and E for the Bungalow, and her Addy is 2a and ours is 2, post is delivered seperatly), and the previos inspector was not bothered!!

anyhows gone off to speak to superiors and all that x

and also because I was honest and said that I had a complaint of abuse made against me towards my children (by my mum long story), which was investigated by SS, and I and my DH were cleared and the police took action against her, they are waiting for SS to come back to them as this was not bought up on the SS search, flippin heck, should have kept stummm lol!!!

so for being honest my application could be seriously delayed, and I was hoping to be set up by the summer hols, when I finish work, grrrrrr!!!

Oh dear, I can understand them wanting your nan to have a CRB as they would think that she would be around a bit, but not to inspect her property. I think I would question that part

As to the SS I bet it didnt show cos you were cleared. Hope it gets sorted quick

but they originaly said she did not need one, as have been upfront from the start, she will have no access, or have anything to do with the mindees in my care, she is under full care of SS, as a result ofthe allegations lol!!!

and the agencies are supposed to talk to each other .........................

I dont mind her having a CRB, its just would have done them all at the same time, and thus not delaying anything, now I have to process another CRB!!

runs into wall very fast x

I agree they don't need to inspect her part as it won't be used for childminding. My upstairs isn't registered and they haven't ever looked up there.

I can see why they want to get nan CRB checked.
Hope it all gets sorted quickly for you.

My upstairs isn't registered either but they still looked up there and said that I had to attach my sons bookcase to the wall in case a mindee managed to find themselves upstairs!
