Hi all im a little confused, im filling out my cm1 form and the part where u have to have ref is confusing me!
I have moved to a completely new area 2 and half yrs ago and the friends i have made i have known them about 1yr.

My Q is it says you have to have known someone for at least a yr it says on the form which i know one person who could do it and the other is poss my neighbour or i was thinking my partners mother could she do it as she is not my relitive?

Also i have not worked since aug 2005 so could i give them as a ref?

Its just a little confusing could anyone help?

Hi ya,

It would be fine to get a reference from your previous employer. My previous employer was from 2005 also and there was no problems with this.
I am not sure about your partner's mother as ofsted send the referrees a form to fill in and one of the questions they ask them is how do you know the person, etc, so she would have to put that she is your partners mum, etc.
I don't know if this is classed somewhere along the lines as a relative.
If you have known your neighbour for a year, ask her if she wouldn't mind being a referree for you.
