I am never sure on this one ......... before meals we all go upstairs to wash our hands. Can we use wipes instead. I do remember this being a issue some years ago. Thanks.

I use wipes on the babies hands. If I have an older one with me I put a little bowl of warm soapy water on the table for her, and a clean towel.

I use wipes on babies hands and antibac gel. I am lucky as I have a downstairs cloakroom for the lo's to wash their hands

I don't think it really matters, but our preference is that by using water it teaches good hygiene routines and supports the development of motor skills by turning taps on, using soap dispensers, flannels etc, and also builds up their independence.

Have a fab day

I have re-useable fleece wipes. I fill a bowl with soapy water (usually something like Johnson's baby bath), dunk the fleece in, wipe the babies' hands ( a separate wipe each), then the older mindee washes his hand in the bowl. After they've eaten I do the same with fresh soapy water, using the same wipes I'd washed them with first to do their hands & faces. The older one has a wipe for his mouth, but washes his hands in the bowl. The fleece wipes then all go in the washing basket.

I only have an upstairs bathroom & couldn't be taking three little ones up & downstairs for handwashing.

I like the idea of fleece wipes, we are fortunate that we have a downstairs loo so we are able to spend time and take all the mindees in there. I certainly would not want to take them all upstairs
