... she was so lovely, totally put me at ease as she was so down to earth.
It had been 4 years and 1 month since my last inspection so the whole kaboodle has changed since then and i had satisfactory (which was totally cool for my first inspection).
now i have been in tears over the :censored: sef, as late as last sunday evening! i did complete75% of one on the old form, but hadnt transferred it to the new form as i found the wording bewildering to be honest - i did have sarah707's ebook (which was fab like all her ebooks!) but i think my confidence in doing it again was thrown out the window!
BUT... because i had long standing records of h&s checks inc fire evac logs, learning journals with hundreds of photos going back 2 - 3 yrs for one child, all the child's records in one file, attendance records as long as your arm, risk assessments coming out of my ears, completing ncma's quality first, completing nvq level3 ccld, parent questionnaires about my service and child ones, and separate learning journal ones (again going back the three years i been doing it) and old policies behind latest polices all signed and dated i got...
GOOD with OUSTANDING in some aspects!!!!!!!!!!!! i am so so so over the moon its untrue. she felt that i had sef'd myself by having all this.
so peeps dont despair over the sef just yet - i know of several minders who didnt do it and got good and outstanding. as long as you show you are continually reviewing everything then all good.
i am one seriously chuffed ooman bein'!!!!!!!!!!
and a huge thanku to sarah32 who i work alongside almost on a daily basis and we worked together on getting things as right as possible over the last 2 years!;)

Fantastic! Well done you!! :clapping:

Now you can relax and enjoy the celebration!

Its so much easier when you have a nice inspector isnt it? There's nothing worse than feeling uneasy all the way through.

Well done!
