I have been waiting for an inspection since last October and I just want to get my inspection over and done with. Every time the phone rings I am hoping that it is Ofsted, the continual pressure I feel under is now getting too much. I have even phoned Ofsted twice and requested an inspection but was basically told because there is no cause for concern with your setting they are in no hurry to come and inspect.

I have checked through Inspection reports for my local area and it appears that newly regisitered minders are getting their first graded inspections completed but longer term childminders are not getting their 3 yearly inspection done. Whilst I can understand that newly registered minders need to be inspected so do longer term minders especially as in my case I have worked extremely hard to get the EYFS in place and I would like this to be acknowledge in an up to date report.

Rant over will just have to wait for 'the phone call' hopefully sooner rather than later.

Your right it is very unfair to make you wait this long.
I feel my ranting of having to wait 3 months here in Wales was a bit over the top.

Best of luck to you. My inspector called yesterday and it feels brilliant to have it over and done. :)

Anyway got through that one and pre reg done, :) then found out local council archived me too. so i didnt get any info that was being sent to others that i knew, i have suppose to have been un-archived but possibly not as ive not had anything others have had.

feeling like in bermuda triangle here,

I was on edge for a while as i have been due for about 6 months. Got a call of some company working on behalf of Ofsted. They said my inspection could be anytime from now until August 2012!!!! Whats that all about?? No wonder we dont know if we are coming or going:angry:

At beginning of August it'll be 4 years since my last one and I'm sick of waiting too. I actually had a call 6 weeks ago to check I was working and tell me an inspector would be in touch to arrange inspection soon, still waiting! I called them to ask what was happening, to be told the deadline for my inspection is 31st July, I'll be contacted in due course, not this month though, cos they're booked up already. I'm also jumping every time the phone rings now.
