The inspector's left the building and I got 'good' in all areas, yay :clapping:

She said I'm doing a wonderful job with the children and my paperwork was excellent :)

I actually enjoyed the inspection as she was lovely and it was all very relaxed. I just carried on as I always do.

:welldone: :welldone: :cheerleader: :cheerleader: :happy banana: :happy banana: :so happy: :so happy: So many congratulations to you I actually felt deflated when she went because she didn't look at everything I'd got ready befor she came like fire records and smoke detector records and risk assessments etc etc. And as I said before she said we are not legally bound to have written policies so I felt I should have concentrated on other areas.

I think she was more phased than me by the ages of my mindees and the fact that they were flinging noodles I'd given them to play with all over the place while I was chopping up chicken and boiling pasta for their dinner.

In the end she scarpered pretty quickly and spoke very fast to me I think she was worried in case she would end up covered in noodles.

On reflection I'm really pleased with the outcome and its onwards and upwards and I have 3 years now to prepare myself for the next one and I have most of the work done and almost all the toys in place I did borrow some from my childminding group - I'm not going to buy any more now until next year unless I see a real bargain wheelchair or other such stuff. My playroom is groaning under the weight of the toys I have in here.

All I know is I'm ready for a break - only 1 full week and 2 4 day weeks and then I'm off to Dominican Republic

Did anyone else feel like that or is it just me?

Thats a good point about us not being legally required to have policies yet , but the fact that we have is gonna make EYFS so much easier to contend with :D . You can rest easy now . Hope you have a fantastic holiday !!!!
