Hi all,

I was hoping someone would be able to help me fill in section E (the action plan) on my variation request form, it is for continuity of care for a mindee i have had for 18 months (she is now just over 2 years old), term time only and have been told it shouldn't be a problem, but because my inspection was rubbish because my own son was being nasty to the mindee I need a variation for  Mrs Ofsted wasn't very impressed (for the record they are best of friends now!)

what things do OFSTED like to hear?

Thanks x

I just wrote about what we did in a normal day and how I met the needs of all the children I was caring for.

I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck

Miffy xx

My 1 year old and my 1 year old mindee are not getting on at the minute and I am due an inspection, how did you deal with the arguing whilst she was there and what were they doing ?? :panic:

mindee was about 8 months old and my son was nearly 2, did not want to share his toys or his mum, would snatch things and shout at her, i did put him in timeout but he found it funny because he had an audience and kept getting off so i let him choose the story we were having to keep him occupied but Mrs O said i had rewarded his bad behaviour and that contradicted what i had in my behaviour policy.

personally, in my experiance, i have arranged for a friend to look after my child when being inspected. It is so stresfull anyway, so i find i can consentrate more when my little monkey is elsewere having fun. Just tell Mrs O then nana has taken them out. Just an idea. It worked for me.:)
