we are doing a farm theme in May and I want to put somthing in the tuff spot to represent a farm but would like some ideas please,, did think of farm animals with grass and make some barns out of boxes but any other ideas would be much appriciated please

soil & toy tractors?
sunflower seeds for them to plant in the soil (not to grow, just to stick in the soil)
lollipop stick road signs (weighted down on a lump of plasticine) pointing to the different animals or parts of the farm
fences made from lollipop sticks
damp cotton wool to sprink cress seeds on for quick growing "grass", the scissors to cut it & put in a toy tractor & trailer

Lolly stick fences, blue plastic for duck pond or plastic mirror, straw for barn, mud for pig sty, leafy twigs for little trees, little tractor, other vehicles, Sing old macdonald, talk about what food comes from the farm, how it is grown, harvested, seasons for this. Count and sort animals into their area of farm, talk about jobs done on the farm, match baby animals to big animals with names.....
Eyfs links.
Psed- motivated, interested to learn, try new activities, initiate ideas, select and use resources independantly, speak in a familiar group
Cll- interact with others, negotiate plans, take part in conversation, use language to imagine/recreate roles
Psrn- say and use number names, use positional words, add/subtract, problem solve
Kuw- find out about and identify features of living things, objects and events they observe,find out about the natural world
Cd-Use their imagination, recreate roles, songs and dance....
Pd- Using fine motor skills to manipulate small world objects.....
Also design and making......

You could try and get some artificial grass from the greengrocers and cut to the shape of your tuff spot.
There are some lovely farm activities and crafts here

Ooh yes, artificial grass. If you google free samples of artificial grass you'll find places that send them to you :thumbsup:
