Just read quickly through that and can already see that some people are going to be having lots of new 'friends' lol

Its going to be such a grey area to 'police' and I think they are going to be relying on people's honesty a lot. That said I cannot think of a way to do it better so am not making judgements...

Thanks Miffy

Does this mean you can look after a friends child for no reward for more than 2 hours a day ...Im a little confuddled:)

Thanks Miffy

Surely that can't be good news for certain childminders!

As I read it you can look after after friends children for as many hours as you want for as many days as you want - and provided is for 'services' not money or what they call 'moneys worth' it is ok by Ofsted

A huge grey area in my opinion

- so if I wanted to I could look after a child who had a cleaner for a parent, another who was a hairdresser, another who was a window cleaner ... oh wait a moment I will just look after the child of the odd job man / woman and then all my 'jobs' can be done as 'services' and I would not need to register - then again maybe a chef parent would be handy as they could provide all my meals as would be a service not payment or money worth worth:laughing:

Just who will monitor it and how would they prove money had or had not been paid?

Penny :)

I dont really get it:blush:

I can't see any sort of point to what they are saying. I look aftr my best friends baby, as a proper arrangement, I look after her 3 full days per week and obviously am paid for the service - she gets the vouchers through work.

Don't know if its just too early in the morning, but I just dont GET the point to it, it mentions the 2 hour rule etc, and the fact that if money changes hands then you still need to register so...???????

Or do I need to have a cuppa and then re-read lol:laughing:
