When I do an observation I always do next steps, is this what you class as individual planning?

Kind of - my next steps are on the bottom of each observation in the LJs.
My planning sheets have an area for individual planning - which is often some of the next steps and/ or how I will adapt group activities to suit them individually , alongside resources especially for them. Im sure there are better ways of doing it but it works for me atm.

my next steps are my individual planning. I have a sheet with 'activities to help me meet the next steps of my learning journey' at the top and I list things I might do / set up etc but all taken from next steps :)

Individual planning can come from lots of places...
Parents comments which lead to you organising an activity for the child;
Things the child says he likes doing;
Ideas from pre-school or nursery you pick up on that the child enjoys;
Next steps planning;
Group planning which you tweak to fit the interests or wishes of a child...
Hth :D

Thank you. So I can continue using next steps but I also need to add to this from other areas.:clapping:
