I've got my first inspection on Wednesday and I'd just like to triple check I've got everything in place, I know they will be something I have forgot, so here goes...

SEF completed and submitted,
Registration certificate, Public Liability certificate, Ofsted Parents poster, weekly menu, continuous provision sheets, Fire exit floor plan all displayed on parents board,
Portfolio containing - all qualification and training certificates (inc 1st Aid, Safeguarding, Child Protection + Food Hygiene) + copy of car insuance,
Risk assessments - completed, signed, dated with review date and with my logo on top,
Policies and procedures,
Fire blanket mounted in kitchen and 1st Aid cupboard clearly identified (cross stuck on front),
Register, contacts, fire evacuation book - all upto date.
Learning Jouneys and Journals all upto date.
I have complaints, comments + accidents and Incidents books in place.
So what have I forgot?

Sorry to be a pain but I'm on the verge of being terrified.
I know I do a good job and the children and parents are happy but I know I'll turn to mush when the inspector comes.

Oh my goodness, mine lives in a file with all my other certificates. I'll dig it out and stick it up.
I have Complaints Procedure, Insurance, Reg Cert and Ofsted poster on display. So is that all that needs to be displayed?

I didn't know about the 1st aid; I always have mine in a folder with other certificates; has anybody else got any info on that?

Also they asked me how do I promote saving the earth or something like that - so maybe have some things out about recycling - loved the recylcling books from the library I had out. My friend had hers at the same time and asked for the 'authorisation in case of an emergency forms' that she carried with her - even checked her bag! Fire drill up to date and dated. I don't think you have to have your first aid certificate on display - but thereagain it can depend on what the inspector likes to see. Put lots of cultural bits up, posters etc, hello in different languages and inclusion and diversity posters. They really liked my poster about washing hands when going to the toilet. Good luck!!!! I am sure you will do fine.
