Ofsted called me on Thursday to check I was working with children in the Early Years. They then said that the Inspector would be in touch to arrange my inspection. I'm fairly up to date with the children's files but am really nervous about all the little things I've recently been told about. Anyone else due an inspection soon. Any tips would be welcome please! x

What kinds of things are you worried about? xx

Wording in certain policies. For example, we're now expected to write medical treatment and advice on the medical policy whereas before it was just the word treatment that was required. But if my co-ordinator hadn't told me that, how would I have known? Even the NCMA wording only says treatment and not advice!
I think you just get yourself into a bit of a panic so that's where I'm at at the moment!!! x

Yes I think you and a lot of people in Cheshire are in a panic at the moment.
Hopefully it will all be over soon and at least you can relax through the summer knowing it's finished with!! :D

The Eyfs says that you must have a document which asks permission to seek emergency medical advice or treatment for a child.
It must be signed and dated by parents and taken with you on all outings.
It must be in place before the child starts in your care.
Please see your EYFS statutory requirements for more information. It is in the information and complaints section.
Hth :D
