Can anyone shed light on this for me.
Do you need seperate sheets for obs on each child or can you just keep a book (A3 sized) and put all your obs in for every child?
I have both but don`t know which to use to be honest. :panic:

You will need to keep each childs observations seperately.
I have A4 size folders for each child and do my observations on sheets which I then put into their folders. You can also put in some of their drawings and photo's.

Hi Joanne,
I have not got any mindees yet, however I plan on creating a book for each child, detailing any obs, rewards, milestones achieved, etc by the child.
Other children's details must remain confidential from other parents which is why I intend to have a book/diary for each child which I can then show to parents.

Yes that does sound better, thankyou both, you just never know whether you are doing right or wrong do you.
I bought some A4 folders with intention to have one each, so thats the route i`ll go down, thanks for all the replies.

I have a loose leaf file for each child - that way I can slot in their photos and pieces of artwork easily. :D

i agree, seperate folder for each is ideal - much easier to slot in their work and your obs.

Hi all
Just a quick question, where do we all keep these files as there is one for each child, plus all the other paper work we need and have.
I only have a small house and not much storage space!!!!!!!
I be living in the back garden in a tent soon

I keep photocopies so the book still goes home with the child when s/he leaves :D
