Oh hun I am sorry, I am fully expecting this letter too!
Have you looked at Ofsted's complaints procedure? You can appeal it.

so they are saying that their inspectors are completely flawless and would never do anything wrong? How utterly ridiculous. What have Ofsted said? They must have a complaint procedure and just not believing anything anyone else says isnt an effective one!

If you really feel they are wrong then follow through the Complaints Procedure.
It does work, I complained about a decision to refuse me a Variation 2yrs ago. I decided not to do it by letter or telephone call but to make them come to a face to face meeting. Called a Panel meeting. It is a bit nerve racking. They arrange a meeting somewhere near to where yoou live, usually in a hotel meeting room so it is 'neutral' ground. You can take someone in with you as well though they are not supposed to take part my dh who is my Reg Assistant came and they actually did talk to him.
It was so worth it to see the Inspector who had refused the Variation dig herself an even bigger hole!!
She had not phoned to check the details, turned out she thought I was a youngster new minder (oh yeh with 16yrs experience and 54yrs old!! shows how well she read my folder:rolleyes: ) out to make money by contracting as many mindees as I could  She really made herself look very silly in front of her two collegues!
I was granted the Variation I wanted within half an hour of the end of the meeting. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when we left the room
Some of these people think they are beyond critisisim and that is so not true. It does them good to be put on the spot and have to explain themselves from time to time, they are not Gods. You are a professional and should be listened to.
