I am having my pre reg inspection on Friday, I had to keep on ringing to get it. Ofsted were fine about it, I also needed to hurry things up as if I am not registered by end of March my start up grant will be greatly reduced. Ofsted gave me prospects number, I called and explained the situ to them then called again the next day an hour later an inspector booked my visit in. Just keep ringing dont be embarrased and explain you have parents waiting . good luck

I'm with kittywoo
Definatley ring them and keep on at them. When your pre reg visit has ended before they go ask how long it will be till the report they write will be sent to ofsted give them an extra day then ring prospects and see if it's sent to ofsted then phone ofsted they will then tell the relevant department it needs signing off. Give it about 2 days and ring ofsted up again to see if been sent out keep hounding them until they have sent it out. I was advised to do this by other childminders in my area I had my visit on 10th Jan 2011 and recieved my certificate on 21st Jan. Once you have that you can offically mind children.
The very best of luck
