I am waiting for my first inspection in EYFS and like you I have used this site to get information help and advice and I am hoping to get a good. My inspection was due in October so I am just waiting for the call and I wish it would come sooner rather than later.

she couldnt have been nicer!! id happily have an inspection every year if she was doing it,

she was only here 2 hours, checked the house, didnt even go in my dd's , ds's or spare bedroom, or the bathroom as i said i didnt want them registering, the children only sleep in my room and we use the en-suit if we need to wash hands or use the toilet whilst up there, so she was happy with that,

she was hot on safeguarding, asked loads of questions about it and equal opp's!

she really liked the fact i done my safeguarding refresher on line and food hygine, as i showed even though im having trouble getting on a "real" course i had done something else about it and not just not ignored it.

as for planning, the only written plans i do are next steps   but i could demostrate how i plan and develope around childrens interests and encourage their development, i showed her we have a display wall, and that i just jot down notes in a diary,

she said the best thing for her and the biggest idea of what my setting is like for the children was how the 2 lo's i had here behaved they have both only been here a week and she couldnt believe how settled they were, even though they are only 2 and 10 months,

im sure theres loads more but cant think of anything else for now.x
