hello,

just sorting all my stuff for Ofsted next week. I have a little boy, 9 months, who started with me last week for 1/2 day, he is with me 2 days this week then 1 next. Should I have started his LJ other than initial About Me? I think it is a bit early to do observations as we are still getting to know each other but should i do one or two to show willing?

Thanks!

I don't know if this right or not but what I do is; the first 3-4 weeks a baby is with me I do my baseline OB's, then I start doing my full OB's 2-3 times a month from then on.

HTH

I think I would just write some notes about where his development is at the moment and what he appears to enjoy and what you have been told he likes just to get you started.

I'm really behind on my learning journal, have lots of notes written but need to put it all together!

I had something similar just before my inspection, had only had the lad 2 weeks, i hadn't done any obs but did have his scrapbook with his name on and a couple of pics printed off with a little note just slotted in ready to add. They were happy with that as is showed i had thought about it.
