I had my first Ofsted Inspection 4 weeks ago & rcvd a satisfactory with 2 areas of good.

The inspector told me this was due to the fact that I had only been minding for 6 months and that I wouldnt have enough paperwork to support forward planning for the amount of time I have been minding. She also said that my observations were not as detailed as they should be & that as I hadnt filled my S.E.F out, she had nothing to look at to see if I have been running a reflective practice.

I recently discovered that a friend that registered at the same time as me has rcvd a good and am feeling a little deflated about it all. My inspector didnt move from my table for most of the visit and then quickly looked in my kitchen, front & back garden. During the visit she didnt ask me any questions relating to EYFS, Safeguarding or learning areas which I thought she would.

Yesterday I rcvd a call from Ofsted telling my report was ready and that they were emailing it to me to reveiw and if I had any concerns or the information on it was incorrect that I had till Monday to call them about it before ir goes to print. Is this what normally happens for a first inspection?? As a few other CM's have suggested it be a strange prodedure & that they have never heard of an inspection report being emailed before!!

Hi, I am newly registered and new to the forum. I had my first ofsted visit end of jan and they emailed the report to me and only gave me 24 hrs to check it! Didnt actually receive it though and spent a whole morning trying to find the person who surposed to have sent it, to re send, not funny when was looking after 3 littlens!
