I was speaking to another CM today (who I don't know very well) she has just had her inspection. She said she got an overall Outstanding.

She went on to say that she there are 17 areas that the inspector grades us on and she got 16 outstanding and 1 was a good.

What the heck are these 17 areas??? I didn't want to appear ignorant by asking her

If you go onto the Ofsted website and have a look at some childminder inspection reports you will see what they are and a range of comments set against them.

Thank you:thumbsup:

My plan was that once the mindees have been collected I'll dig out my last Ofsted report.

If you were inspected before Sept 2008 you won't have had an EYFS Inspection. The old insspections were done according to meeting the National Standards not EYFS so the format of the new reports is different.

There are 14 areas you are graded against not 17

The effectiveness with which the setting promotes equality and diversity

The effectiveness of safeguarding

The effectiveness of the setting’s self-evaluation, including the steps taken to promote improvement

The effectiveness of partnerships

The effectiveness of the setting’s engagement with parents and carers

The quality of the provision in the Early Years Foundation Stage:

The quality of the provision in the Early Years Foundation Stage

Outcomes for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage:

Outcomes for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage
