I got an 'active world tray' from TTS Supplies, I LOVE it!! It gets used for messy stuff, marble run, oats, jelly, cornflour, water, playdough, you name it!!!
Mine cost £24.00 incl. postage and packing
You can probably get it cheaper elsewhere, but I like TTs and they have prompt delivery etc

go to your local garden centre and get a compost tray for about £6!

its what i use and is great, it is about a square metre and about 2 inches deep.

used for allsorts, messy play, animals, good for keeping construction toys in one place too.

id go to an independant garden centre rather than a large chain one as its more likey to be cheaper.

I used these all the time teaching and have been thinking how I would like one. I have been thinking about alternatives too. How about an underbed storage box? The are flat, probably cheaper, still can put stuff in them but are a little smaller? I may go for one of these instead, just for space wise.

I have an enormous one set up on the floor of my lounge with fake grass and a family of racoons and a house built of wooden blocks! My ds has great imagination:D

I got mine from B&Q was around £15 x

I got one from wickes too, I then spotted someone selling one local to me on ebay it was the tts one with the stand, got it for £5 so I now have 2, one is for indoor play and one for very messy outdoor play. :thumbsup:

hi building merchants sell them for under £20 there called mixing tays from them:)
