Well girls its 3 years and 5 days since i was last inspected and since all other childminders have been inspected bang on time last year I am sat here on serious tenderhooks! It will be the first time Ive been inspected since eyfs started and I just hope Ive done enough:( I do so want to stay good!!

Ive got photo albums and tracker books
observations and policies
risk assessments,contracts and references!
also a folder with information like diversity stuff/medical stuff/recipies/safeguarding children etc

what do you think!??

Im just a bit concerned that as one small client is leaving and another mummy is reducing her hours I wont have enough small clients here!!

Mrs O is a stressful person and I just want to get done!!

Im also in the middle of my nvq 3 so feel Im being pulled in several directions trying to stay organised!!! Im feeling like I could self combust...aaaah!!!!!!

I know exactly how you feel.

I am waiting for my first graded inspection which should have been due 29 December. All the childminders in my area have been inspected exactly 6 months after registration or before, but I'm still waiting!

I keep thinking they have forgotton about me (wishful thinking) and although I'm not looking forward to it, I just want it out of the way so I can sleep well at night again.

Good luck with your inspection when you eventually have yours.

I have been waiting 3 years 4 days and am still waiting, i wish they would hurry up as am losing my main eyfs child next week and my other one s mum is going on maternity leave in April, so will just have a baby.

I will have an old book to show if parent gives permission as parent has stated she is not interested in the book of photos etc that i have done so doesnt want it:(

Aww bless. I only got a satisfactory on my first inspection because I only had one eyfs child for an hour a day. And he was actually off for 2 weeks when they wanted to come - I think mrs o was more impressed that mum had actually let me borrow him for the occassion lol

Hi! I had my inspection last week, the previous one was in December 05!! So I went 5 years and 1 month between inspections... I didn't take a break from minding or anything, just didn't get a call til November last year, the lovely Mrs O was said that she'd arrange a visit before Christmas, but with the bad weather, it didn't happen. I suppose they must be short of inspectors in my area, she came from 50 miles away to see me, and other childminders in my town have also had late inspections from out of area inspectors... It all went well, I retained my "Good", so I'm happy! Good luck with your inspection when it happens!

My inspection was due last October and the waiting is awful its the not knowing when you are going to get the call:eek:  As this will be my first inspection under EYFS it is very daunting and I am forever wondering if I have everything in place. Looking at some of the other replies I couild still be in for a long wait but I have got to ring Ofsted tomorrow about a variation and also my daughter is 16 next week and I need a CRB form for her so this may prompt Ofsted into doing an inspection:rolleyes:

It gives you lots of time for tweaking and making sure you are happy with things and plenty of time to get the house sparkling and toys sorted.

Good luck xxx
