It went well - I got a good!!
I got good for all 5 outcomes but a couple of satisfactories for Working in partnership with other settings (my children do not attend other settings) and my outdoor provision got a satisfactory but I reflected the same in my SEF and have applied for a grant to improve it!
She was a very calm lady, had common sense and did not get excited about anything so I really thought I would get a satisfactory. She liked the way I interacted with the children and thought that I had made good progress for their development. Will think of more she said tonight and let you know!!! xxxx
Thanks again to everyone that helped in my hour of need

Well done:clapping:
Thought I would put in a bit more to help all the others who are due an inspection as I was scouring the inspections forum for hours...
She liked:
Hand gel everywhere in the house, chatting to children alot, inital assessments when children start, real food in the play kitchen, thorough risk assessments and welcome pack with info on EYFS in.
She didnt go into a lot of detail on what she liked except she said my keeping children healthy was very good with resources form British Heart foundation and Oral b. She said working with parents was good.
She was critical of: Not have messy play as a continuous provision, not have six areas of learning in my outdoor provision, i should have more toys visually available for children to access (they know where everything is and I only have so much floor space  ),
She said I should have sat back and allowed the children to play alone for a while instead of alongside them all the time,
she would have liked to see an adult led activity, outdoor playtime (even though very wet and muddy) and messy play.
I think she was asking alot considering they are only here a short time but hey ho!
I was disappointed that she had not read my SEF, she took a copy with her as she said it would help her with some of the questions and therefore, she had to ask me alot of questions even though it was all in my SEF. I got all the safeguarding and complaints/ allegations ones right though.
Having said that make sure you do one because although it may not get read it will definitely help with the report!
In summary: DO SEF
make sure your outdoor provision is ace,
have messy play available at all times and let the children have some space to play alone! I am sure my next inspection will throw up all new things!
Thanks everyone for all your well dones!

Very well done. :D
All Inspecters have guidelines to work to but, they all have their individual quirks that they like to see.
As far as I can see you can work very hard and go over things time and time again, all the children are happy, the parents are happy but the inspecter always finds something and more often than not it's their personal opinion.
Next time they come to mine we are going to get the glitter and glue out, then do some musical activity with the noisiest instuments I can find and then play with gloop....lots of mess and lots of noise :D :D :D
Ooops can you tell I didn't get on very well with my inspecter

Well Done! Just had my inspection too - it all sounds really different to mine so they must vary hugely. I got good too which I was thrilled about, just happy now to have 3 years to recover!
