I am sat here crying because i have just realised that my certficate has not got the rising 5 clause on it and my ofsted inspection is on monday. Ofsted are in the process of sending out my new certificate.
I am working to 3 under 5 ratios, my daughter is at school. Ofsted told me that I could work within those ratios as my daughter was a rising 5 and therefore i could up my early years by one place meaning that i can care for 2 under 5 plus my own son.
I have just realised they have not sent out the certificate and my normal certificate does not have the rising 5 clause on it.
I dont know wether to cancel the inspection, temporarily stop caring for one mindee or just do the inspection explain that ofsted said it was fine as my early years automatically increase by one place because my daughter has now started school and they have been delayed sending out the certificate.
Oh god this is awful

Don't worry - have you checked online to see if you have the rising 5 clarification on it?? (in case they just didn't send the cert. out.)
If not give them a call today and say you've just realised its not on there but you have been working to that rule - they will amend your cert and you can tell the inspector that you have dealt with the issue and the certificate is on its way.

i personally wouldnt worry, the main thing is your aware of it and have had it changed, even though your waiting for your certificate.
I have only just changed my certificate as my son started school in september, which would be the same as yours. I would just say that i thought i would automatically be able to up my numbers in the under 5s catagory as my child was attending full time education.
It might not be the right way to go about it, but thats what i said to the man at ofsted when i got mine changed, As long as your within your numbers and dont exceed 6 under 8s at one time (thats what mine says) then i wouldnt worry.
Thank god its you kindred spirit
Im am shaking I rang them and they said the certficate is being processed. I just thought the inspector would say i was inadequete because it is not on wall! I stupidly forgot they hadnt sent it (after i requested it in aug) and now just realised and rang them. I didnt tell them i had inspection due as i was scared!
Sammikins - no i have NOT exceeded 3 under 5 at all. I am just waiting for the certificate and they have not yet adjusted it online..that is why i am worried.
Thankyou so much everyone for helping!

Why don't you print it off line and put it up in addition to your old one.
Hi debbie - they haven't yet adjusted it on line unfortunately. I might print off the thread at the top of minding chat regarding the rising 5 clause not being a requirement??

Please dont panic - I was in a similar situation when I first started minding and only realised just before my inspection. When I had my pre-reg my dd was under 1, by the time the certificate came through she was 1 but my certificate didnt recognise that fact - neither I, nor the parent of the then 8 month old I started minding noticed that my certificate said I couldnt mind an under 1 year old!!! When I panicked and rang ofsted they apologised (yes really!!) and said they should have sorted out the certificate at their end as they had the DOB of my children.
Hope it all goes well for you xxx

Keep checking on line - it might be amended there before you get your copy so you could print it off on Monday.
Don't panic - if Mrs O mentions your certificate you can say it's all sorted :)
Good luck, hope everything goes well
Miffy xx
O curly cathy and miffy - thankyou thank you thankyou!! I seriously thought she would say I am breaching my registration and call the police or something!!
I will still be nervous. I will wait fir her to mention it and then nonchalanty say "it's all sorted - ofsted are sending the new one through imminently but are happy I am not over my allocated numbers ;) " ( and then probably wet myself in anticipation).
I suppose if the worst happens i will just get reinspected in 3 months! I would just be so embarrassed after working so hard.

I'm sure it will all be fine. I panicked so much for my inspection made worse by fact she rang in a temper cos she couldnt follow my simple directions (into village, 3rd right - how hard is that???). But when she arrived she was actually lovely and it was all fine.
Be thinking about you xxx
Curlycathy - what did she say about your certificate? Thanks for replying again - you are all stars to be this helpful!
Going to have a couple of glasses to chill out before I have stroke!!
