i was talking to one of my mindees about xmas and said about father xmas going on his sleigh to deliver all the presents and he looked at me a bit blank so i thought we could try and make a sleigh anyone got any ideas bearing in mind he is 3 and a half or maybe a christmas collage would be easier any ideas would be great thanks

I'd make a collage featuring a sleigh... or find a big Christmas card of the picture and cut it up to make a jigsaw :D

Then you could fill it with 'empty' pressies ( or real ones if you're generous, lol) and that could lead to making your own wrapping paper, wrapping them up, talking about shapes, colours, textures, sizes, 'writing' labels, guessing who the parcels are for, what's in them, you could fill some with small items that make different noises or smells, or number them and each advent day put one in the sleigh, or take one out and see what's left until last........:idea:
Not sure where that all came from but I think I am going to do this.
