ladies, could someone just comfirm that this is right.... if a 4 year old is at school full time they don't come under the '3 under 5' rule????? Therefore I could have 4 childen under 5 without having to contact Osted for variation of numbers.

You're right but you do need to contact Ofsted - there's a special condition that has to be on your certificate allowing you to increase your numbers in the early years group when a 4 or 5 yo is in FTE.

You still can't have more than 6 under 8 in total and you only need to apply for this condition once then it stays on your certificate.
