Hi
I've been registered now since July so I am expecting the dreaded call for my first inspection in about a month or so.
I was just wondering though. If I had any actions during my pre-reg would I have had them in writing?

The Ofsted lady who visited me was lovely and didn't mention anything that I needed to do but I was really nervous and maybe didnt hear.. Are actions sent in writing.

Sounds silly but I'm worried that I might have actions that I haven't done??

Would these actions have been a condition to me getting my certificate, which if that is the case I probably dont have any as I have my certificate....

Sorry for waffling but I'm soooo nervous about my first inspection I keep imaging everything that could possible go wrong!

Thanks
Nikki

Hello,

You would not have had any actions at pre reg - if things had been unacceptable you would not have been registered or as you mentioned would have been a condition on certificate (such as 'must not use garden')

The inspector at pre reg will have had discussions with you about your plans and ideas - and in a way anything you mentioned that would be doing once you had mindees would have been your own 'actions list'

However - there is a lot you have to make sure is now in place because at pre reg you did not have mindees and may not have had everything in place (and even if did may now need to think 'does that work?')

So don't worry about a pre reg action list - reflect on your practice, change things that not working quite as they should be and check Ofsted website for any new documents between pre reg and now.

Good luck with your inspection - I had my first graded one in October so understand the 'panic' that can set in and get worse once the call to arrange visit is made.

Penny :)
