Hi,
Just had the Local Environmental Health Inspector come and do an inspection after applying as a food premise 6 weeks ago, which I believe is a requirement for all childminders now! Ofsted asked if I had registered!

It wasnt bad, she was here for about 30 minutes. She checked my fridge, went through my 'Safer Food better business' file and ran through loads of questions about food hygiene.

Has anyone else been inspected?

I am about 15 miles from you (although in a different county) and my experience was very different. My EHO was here about an hour and a half and was very thorough! As Pip says it depends where you live on what experience you have:rolleyes:

Well done - glad it was OK for you.

Some areas are still not inspecting childminders.

I was inspected at my last place - it was very simple, just a quick look-see and chat.
I am not registering here though, cos I am no longer going to operate as a food business :) Don't know if they do inspections here or not.
