Further to my posts about lack of inspection report, I have just returned from long weekend and checked emails to read my long awaited inspection report.

And guess what STILL not got it

So that is 22 working days since inspection and a WHOLE month if counting 'non working' days

I am now looking unprofessional as some people - including those on forum and parents using my service know I have a verbal outstanding.

I have posted on my website that have been inspected and that report will be available and had to change expected date 3 times.

I have given parents a newsletter saying I will give them all copy of report.

Parents and others will be thinking that I am making it all up.

It would be nice if Ofsted / Prospects could at least send me an email apologising for delay so that I had something to prove that NOT my fault that insopection report nowhere to be seen.

I thought there was a time limit on when they had to issue your report?

It took about six weeks for mine too - be patient, I am sure that people don't think you are making anything up.

It takes ages 6-8 weeks in my area.

How long did they say it would take? At my inspection I was told it would be at least 4 weeks...and it was!

mine was about 6 weeks, not helped by Ofsted working term time only (so they told me) and the easter hols being in the middle. Mine always make me laugh as apparently the children enjoy developing their 'big muscle skills' - assume that means gross motor but it's anyone's guess really!

Ofsted's own paperwork says 'report must be to provider within 20 working days' - which of course is 4 weeks

I am mad because was told on Wed last week that report would be with me ASAP and shopuld be available to view on my return from long weekend.

It does not help that inspector told me as I had requested an email draft copy it would be sent within 5 days.

Also does not help that I was told reason for delay was an IT issue - but I know others have been told other things.

If Prospects have an IT problem they should issue a statement saying so.

Hi Penny,

I'm feeling just as MAD as you this morning!!

I left 2 messages with Prospects on Friday and absolutely no reply from them!! I spoke to Ofsted this morning and they said IT problem and nothing they could do about it!! As you said, it would be nice to receive an email of apology at least.

It would have been much easier if I hadn't been told it would be with me by now. It's now been 4 weeks and Parents have been asking where it is as well. It's so annoying, I worked so hard for it and now feel completely disappointed.

Although you have not actually received it, is it viewable online. My report went online two weeks before I received the draft copy!

Take comfort in the fact that you have been graded OS and it lasts for about 3 years (until you have to go through it all again!!).

Have just checked Ofsted website - just in case - but no - no report.

Prospects did say until they sort IT issue they can not send report to me or to Ofsted.

And Ofsted said they can not do anything until they receive report from Prospects.

So all down to the IT department at Prospects.

Wow that's along time. We received both of our reports and the Welsh translations within 2 weeks:rolleyes: . The translations alone must have taken a huge amount of time.

Hope they get it sorted for you soon

Hello Eliza
I am begining to think he was telling truth and it will be 3 years before we get report!

I think whole thing is worse because having said that want email draft - now have to look for it every day so don't miss the 24hr time scale to tell them about any factual mistakes. Mind you that seems a bit of a joke - would inspector actually remember any details after all this time - so if did point any factual mistakes would they get changed?

Although of course I wish you were not also waiting - it does help knowing we are 'in it together'

Oh bless you Penny! I'm not sure if it helped, but on Monday Ofsted sent Prospects an email on my behalf to chase it up. Perhaps that's worth a try?

Have phoned Prospects - still NO IDEA when will get report!
Phoned Ofsted - they are now going to chase and discuss at next team meeting as Prospect have broken terms and conditions.

I hope Ofsted can get things moving.

Needed report today as SS visited re placing 2 children with me - managed without but would have been nice to have shown them.

NO

Had to phone Ofsted re an urgent request for a variation (SS placing children under court order with me - as Kinship care). The very nice man on phone checked my details - then said 'oh you don't have an inspection report - that may cause a problem with your request'

SO explained again - and he promised to look into it (at least as he is a Compliance Officer - may get something sorted)

Anyway have to say he was VERY helpful and agreed to variation to add daughter 4 as assistant - then suggested that also add daughter 1 who is a registered childminder as a co minder. AND suggested that add condition that may leave mindees with either daughter on ocassions when I have to attend meetings with SS. As I said very helpful - AND actioned from yesterday (when phoned) as court hearing yesterday and children can come into my care at 30 mins notice.

I hope he is as helpful re my report and sorts Prospects out.

Thanks for your interest Eliza - hope you were happy with the wording in your report - and that you can now proudly show the evidence of your Outstanding grade.

Penny :)
