Hello Everyone, I was wondering if you could help me please, when registering as a Childminder who are the referees ofsted request to see?

When i registered i put in 2 references from friends hoping they wouldnt contact my last employer coz she was a cow to me and she never rushes to do anything but unfortunately they did still contact her

i gave 2 friends and they said that was fine i wasnt working at the time so they didnt have an employer to contact

Don't worry,
I put down a previous employer, not my very last, as I thought I would get a better reference from him. Ofsted contacted him and no questions were asked to me about my final employer.
By the way, I don't think you have to put an employer. Just 2 people who know you will be fine for references, but ofsted will ask if you currently work but you have the option on the application form to tick a box so that ofsted will not contact them X

I put down my last employer and Ofsted phoned me to ask for another ref (another friend) as the work I did wasn't child related.
