Hi everyone,

Sorry this might be really stupid question, but I've just started minding...

Basically I have all the paperwork (daily diaries, menus, plans, risk assessments etc etc.) on my PC.

When I will have my inspection (first proper one!) in about few months time, will I have to print all this mountain of paper out for the inspector to see?

The daily diaries would be like a book by that stage.... :)

Thanks in advance,
Saija

All my paperwork is printed out and put in a seperate file (i.e risk assessment file, policies file, individual learning journey etc etc). I am not sure how it works if you do all your paperwok just on a pc though. I wouldn't imagine that Ofsted would sit at your pc to look at your paperwork but I might be wrong. Interesting to see what others think.

Thanks :)

I have the 'bigger' paperwork such as Policies and Procedures etc. on files (printed out!), but I'm more interested to know about the children's daily diaries, menus for the week, weekly plans etc. will they need to be printed out each week? I don't mind this, but curious to know as it will be a lot of paper to print out...

if this is usually only on the computer then Ofsted may want to know how you share it with parents.

Other than this when your inspector phones to arrange your visit why not ask her personal preference , as Im sure it will vary by inspector.

Your menu should be displayed so children can see it (it says that somewhere in the Eyfs guidance).

Routines and weekly plans should be printed in children's LJ folders.

risk assessments should be in a file so they can be reviewed regularly (esp outings ones).

Hth :D
