Hi

My inspection is due early October and I wondered if anyone else is due one soon or is overdue one and how long have they been waiting.

I always get myself really stressed out with the build up to an inspection and i have been minding for a very long time. Every three years i am ready to give up (more so during the last three years) and as this is my first inspection under EYFS I am really worried in case I have not got everything in order.

Mine was due in may and like you the next one will be my first under EYFS, I have decided not to panic.

(In my head) I have decided that when she does arrive, I will talk her through our display boards and pin boards. then direct her to a HUGE pile of files and folders, and get on with what I normally do (except go out lol).

I have gone through everyones contracts and permission slips, they are all up to date, my certificates are on display, my first aid and child protection are current, risk assessments are done and learning Journals are looking nice.

I know I'm doing a good job, the children and parents are happy so I'm just going with the flow (at the moment anyway  )

Good luck - hope it goes well. There's some new inspection advice on the Ofsted website

At the end of the day all you can do is your best.

The children might play up, the inspector might have got out of bed the wrong side, the sun might or might not shine.

If you are as ready as you can be, then on the day all you have to do is show how much you have improved since your last inspection.

Show off! It's your one chance in 3 years to really sing your own praises! :D
