Hi, Ive read on here a few times that the inspector usually turns up around 9 or 10ish. Is that correct? Would they ever come after lunch?
Ive been told my inspection will be sometime in the next 7 days and just wondered what time you all had your inspections?
Thanks

My inspectors have always said they'd be there by 10am if they were coming.
I've always had morning inspections, but I have heard of them being in the afternoon.

Mine said she'd be there by 11 and gave me 3 possible dates she would come on. Said if she was not there by 11 then not to wait for her. Once the first 2 days had gone, I knew she was coming on the 3rd.

Thats a bloomin cheek, she should have said if not here by 10 or whatever then ok to go out. You can keep the children in for a week just in case

They can call anytime but usually they give you 3 days they might come, some say if they are not there by (whatever) time they are not coming.

Good luck, hope it goes well for you

Like others have said, I have always found that when they call to make the appointment, they say they aim to be with me by a certain time (normally 1030) and if they have not turned up by then, I need not wait in if wanting to go out. The one in May turned up at 1028 - I was just getting the mindees to sit on the bottom stair so I could get their shoes on and there was the knock at the door!!! The mindees were very put out and all three of them threw wobblies but all worked out OK in the end.

Mine came at 12.40pm on a Friday afternoon!!!! She waited outside in her car while I did school run  She left about 4.30pm

It was with the new inspectors & they phoned to give me a 2 week slot. They didnt ask me to stay in, they asked what my routine was. There were mornings when she could have come but she chose to come in the afternoon on a day when I been out in the morning to a playgroup. Wasnt expecting that!!! I had been expecting her on one of the mornings I was in.

It went well though :) good luck.
