Well?

I'm going to be inspected very soon. I keep thinking I am ready then finding something else to do.

Your never ready I dont think. Just make sure youve got all the important things covered & then everything else is a bonus. My only piece of advise would be to keep a copy of everything you do. Evidence is the key. Have as much of it as you can to show the inspector what you do.

I think I have done that, I was just saying to DH that I've been recording things for this purpose. Things like a cover sheet with the risk assessments for the house. For example, I've noted anything I've done to make it safer or prevent a risk. Just simple things like replacing a split wooden chopping board with a plastic alternative.

I updated a risk assessment but wrote on it in ink rather than retyping it, it stands out more that it has been reviewed/updated.

There is always something else we can think of to improve things! I was up at 3am the morning of my inspection as something else had popped into my head and i couldnt settle til Id done it!

I don't think you're ever ready either - you only have to come on here and look around to find there's something else you could do/improve on.

I'm probably never ready either :) But I actually can't wait for my first proper inspection (I've just started minding) to know what grade they will give me! :)
I don't want to be disappointed though, so perhaps I shouldn't think about it too much...
