I may have 3 under 5's for two lunch times a week (my certificate states 2 under 5's)
a) 1 x Under 5 will me all day 7am till 6pm contract already signed
b) 1 x Under 5 to be collected from nursery at 11.50 till 5pm contract already signed.
c) 1 x Under 5 will be 8.30am till 1pm (contract not yet signed)

I shall take A and C to collect B from nursery, short walk to my house and sit down for lunch and free play until 1pm collection.

But unsure what to do about the 1 hour cross over on these two days

Do I need a variation?

As you will be outside of your numbers, you will need a variation. x

Yes, you would need to apply for a variation, though Ofsted might not consider it if it's not for continuity of care.

You'll also have to consider what would happen if nursery was closed for the day, or during holidays? If you still had B, that would put you over your numbers for a longer period of time.
Or what if C wasn't collected at 1pm for some reason?

If you do apply for a variation, it might be worth doing it for the full day, or at least until 1pm.

Thanks everyone for quick response. Mouse I didn't think about nursery closure so I will apply for full day to cover all eventualitys

it's worth a try but i wouldn't count on it as i had this problem and i only had a 30 min over lap and i wouldnt be leaving the school grounds and they wouldn't grant me the variation as it was classed as new buissnes not continuity of care.
