I am busy filling out all the Ofsted forms for registration. In the Guide to Registration booklet it says that "From July 2010, when applying to register as a childminder, you must also apply for an Independent Safeguarding Authority registration number before we can grant registration."

But from what I could find out from posts on this forum, it seems to have been put on hold. Is this right? I was a bit worried it would hold up my registration if I don't do it and it turns out we had to anyway.

Yes you are right it is no longer happening due to Government cut backs.

You will just need to do a CRB check which your inspector will go through with you.

I hope it all goes quickly for you! :D
