Hi

For those of you who remember me saying I was going to complain about my first inspection. Well I did. My network coordinator very kindly helped me to write a very comprehensive letter. We got letters/questionnaires from all my parents past & present and together with a copy of my SEF I posted it all off.

I had a 9 page letter from them today. Its a strange letter. It starts by telling me that they have null & voided my inspection report & I will be having another inspection. It lists 3 main reasons why they have made this decision. Then it goes through each of my complaints individually & gives what they have found. Almost every one of my complaints has either been not upheld or they cannot say either way cos its my word against the inspector. I say its strange because it seems to be trying to put me in my place a little by not agreeing with my complaints but yet Im being re-inspected so they must think Im justified about some things!!! It does conclude by saying the evidence from the inspection supports a judgement of good rather than satisfactory so they feel a re-inspection is the only way forward.

I feel guilty about what the inspector may have been through, I do hope i havent caused too many problems. I of course am now facing re-inspection which I am DREADING! Im not very good in situations like that & dont think I come across very well. Im always so nervous about selling myself. Its a good thing though, even if the grading remains the same at least I may have a more positive feedback & know a little more about what I can do to improve.

Have mixed feelings - this is obviously a result for me but Im quite nervous about what comes next. How long do you think they will make me wait?

I think it's really positive that you have a new inspection.

I believe that they bring someone in from out of area so the inspector isn't going against what a possible friend has said.

I don't imagine you will have to wait too long, as they will want to get it over with.

If I were you I would use the time to make sure everything paperwork-wise is updated and the best you can get it.

Then on the day you can wow her :D

i have just been throught exactly the same thing. I compained and got a re- inspection but nearly all of mine they couldnt give an answer or wasnt up held. I had my re-inspection and it wasnt to bad. They did down grade me in some areas but i also got outstanding in others. I was told that it would take 6 - 9 months for my re-inspection but it was only a few weeks.
HTH
Good luck

Thank you. I had a phone call on Friday from the new people who will be doing inspections after 2nd sept. Theyve said it will be between 2nd - 17th Sept. Im not to wait in or change my plans, Ive told them my routine. I only have one morning a week when I dont attend a group/activity session. She wanted to know my routine & then just said ok well we'll see you soon.

Suits me better this way, at least i dont need to wait in.

Hopefully will be a more positive experience for me.

Im glad yours went well second time round.

Well done for complaining as you felt you were unfairly treated, and good luck with your new inspection.

They would not have come out again unless they felt just as you did that there was a reason to do so.

Well done for complaining, they must feel that you are justified in your complaint even if they don't say so. I think it is only fair to re-inspect you and give you the grade you deserve :)

Go through all paperwork, recheck safety and know your policies and then most of all try to stay clam :D Easier said than done, I know!!

Good luck keep us updated
